Losing middle east & arab customers ?!

ihabmur
Community Member

Hello guys, Hope everything works well with you

Now about Arabic language,

I do not understand any reason for delaying the support of the Arabic language in home devices, most of the old and new users are heading or already switched to a company you know well, sales of its devices are on an abnormal increase in the Middle East for one reason only, which is the Arabic language,

turn on the lights and close the blinds, that's all.

So what will Google do? And what are we doing? Sending more feedbacks like we've been doing for years?

Thanks

Hi there,

This is a community forum supported by other users like myself and community specialist's so we don't know what Google has planned for the future, sorry.

Currently Google assistant on Google Nest or Google Home speakers and displays is only available for the native languages of countries that the devices are officially sold from the online Google store.

Device availability:

i know thats users community, also about the link u attached about devices and services country availability
lol
i see there is a few countries like "Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States"
but there is alot of devices by google sold in middle east country and other countries!!
Pixel devices, chromecast, fitbit, et.. in the middle east markets by

distributors and all of those devices support Arabic (EGYPT & UAE) with google assistant in arabic language
so, why only home devices not support Arabic?!
i know this question is not directed to users, but I don't know where else to talk about this issue
thanks

Hi again,

I know that Google allow the Google assistant on Android to support a lot more languages that on other devices they manufacturer because Android is officially supported in more countries.

We see lots of users from countries in the middle east, Russia, African nations etc.. all purchasing devices from retailers, these retailers are importing devices from other countries and are not official Google partners.

If you can not purchase a device from the Google store  and have it shipped to your home address then it's not officially supported, sorry.
