I wish I could start a music playlist on the Google Home Mini when I'm not home, to make people on the outside think that I am inside home.
On my old Samsung with Android I was able to do this, because in the Google Home app I had the option to start music.
On the Google Home app for iOS I don't see the same option and I can't start to play music remotely.
I can only do this when I'm at home, starting the playlist on Spotify, then clicking on Connect device, then choosing the Google Home mini.
If I can't do it with Spotify music, is it possible to start a Podcast remotely, and do I need an additional app (on the Google Home iOS app it only tells me about Google Podcasts, but I don't have this app), or a Radio streaming (which app do i need?)?

To the right of the Automations do you have a ▶️ symbol? That would be one way to start a routine remotely, but you would need a much more descriptive command like "Cast Elvis Presley Radio Spotify on My Bedroom Mini"
If you have something else smart turning on while you're away you might be able to use that as a trigger as well.
It's a shame you don't have Android, as they have home screen shortcuts; which are fantastic!!

Thank you, I solved the problem by creating automations.
On my old Android phone I had the option to start music directly, on the home screen. It was easier.
Thanks

You're welcome.
Did you know that you can customise your shortcuts with pictures?
