Max screen wont stop timing out

The screen literally only stays on if I'm watching Netflix (which I of course usually watch on a big screen) or streaming live camera feed (which I am way more likely to do on my mobile phone) and now it won't play anything when I tap on the YouTube icon. Every time I play Voice attorney, screen times out. Every time I want to watch music videos or scroll lyrics while a song is playing, the screen times out! I'm really in awe of how this product was released. I paid for it and it doesn't do anything except play music just like the Google nest mini that I already have. What a rip off man.

And for some reason it keeps randomly rebooting!

Hi MVeezer,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. A few things: when the screen times out does it recover by itself? Do you have other Nest display at home? If so, are they experiencing the same issue? How often does it reboot on its own in a day?

If you already performed a reboot, try to do a full reset and see if it will make a difference.

Note: Before you reset your Nest Hub Max do the steps below.

  1. Make sure the device is plugged into a power source that’s tested and functional.
  2. Remove the device from the Google Home app.
  3. Open the Google Home app .
  4. Tap and hold the device's tile.
  5. Tap Settings and then  Remove device and then Remove.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni
