Hello Luke Gordy,

Thank you for reaching out. I can understand your concern of not being able to set timers on your Google Nest Hub. That is a very important issue, and I would be more than happy to help you. First, I have some questions:
  • Which Google speakers is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • Is your device powering on and working normally besides this issue?
  • Is your device showing up in the Google Home App?
  • Are you receiving any error messages when you try to make a timer? What does it say?
  • Have you tried to conduct a reboot or a Factory Data Reset on the affected devices? Are there any improvements?
I apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to your response. Thanks.

I will reply since I have the same issue with my Lenovo smart display SD-X701B for several months now. I have done both a reboot and factory data reset, twice, yes, it is connected to my *new wifi, all other features work fine, it is showing up in Google home and I'm able to manage features and settings from there, the error message is simply the reply : "I cannot set that alarm/timer right now please try again later".

The problem arose after switching routers and new internet providers in my home. I actually switched them twice due to problems with initial switch. I then switched back to my previous provider with a new modem and router setup. Help!
