Music through Bluetooth and Mini at same time

When I pair a bluetooth speaker to my Mini... music will play on either one or the other? ie. I can't have music play on the Mini AND the paired BT device at the same time?? Is that right? So you waste the speaker capabilities of the Mini when you pair it to the BT? If so... WHY?

That is right.  When you pair a bluetooth speaker to a google mini, hub, audio... music will be outputted to the bluetooth speaker ONLY.  The speaker itself stays the master though and voice feedback will still be broadcasted from there.

If you use speaker groups to listen to media like music, podcasts and audiobooks from multiple speakers at once, you can continue to do that with your Bluetooth speaker. Just add the Google Nest or Home device that's connected to the Bluetooth speaker to any speaker group. Learn how to create or add your speaker to an audio group.

Note: You may need to adjust for the playback delay that can happen when you use a Bluetooth device. Learn how to correct group playback delay.

No, it didn't answer my question unfortunately. You just tried to put a Google marketing spin on the lack of capability of the device describing the thing I already knew and specifically asked about. My questions were:

1. I can't have music play on the Mini AND the paired BT device at the same time??

Answer is NO, you can't.

2. Is that right?

Answer is YES that's right.

3. So you waste the speaker capabilities of the Mini when you pair it to the BT?

Answer is YES you do.

4. If so... WHY?

This is what I'd like Google to tell me.

You said "if you listen to music on multiple speakers you can continue to do that." No you can't "continue to do that ". You have to choose between the Mini OR the Bluetooth device. I think Google should be much more transparent about that. The answer you gave obfuscates the truth and is why I had to go searching for the correct answer.
