My 3 children’s google nests keep needing to be reset

I have my own google nest mini and google home. Both work seamlessly without disconnecting. My 3 kids each decided to get a goggle nest for their bedrooms.

These nests continue to disconnect rendering them a waste of time and so frustrating as it was meant to be a way they could use it as a wake up alarm and listen to music etc.

There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme nor reason for the dropping of their connection. My daughter up stairs has a wifi extender in her room but my google home in the living room has the same but is completely fine.

The other two work on signal strength.

I also have an Amazon Alexa which I was given and again that doesn’t have any issues at all.

I’ve reset them numerous times back to factory settings. But alas all 3 stubbornly refuse to stay connected to the google home app. Any ideas would be appreciated as it’s getting pretty boring to be honest!

thanks. Anita

I would move the 3 problem devices into the same room as your working device, and turn their microphone mute buttons on so they won't all respond. Make sure they are connected to the same wifi as the working device. Now wait a few days and see if they drop off the app. If they stay connected, you have a wifi signal problem. More than likely it's the wifi extender causing your issue. If your house is large enough that you need extender's, wifi mesh systems are a much more reliable way to go.
