My Mini never recovered from the recent outage on March 12

Since the recent "disruption," my Mini still hasn't recovered.  It was working flawlessly up until then.  The update never got to it, so I factory reset it.  It is now offline, so I can't try to update it.  When I try to reboot it, it wakes with 2 white lights, then four scrolling lights for a minute or so, then no response.

What do I do next?

Hi @NancyML,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Google Nest speaker is offline after you factory reset it because of the recent outage you experienced. I'm happy to assist you.

Let's ensure your device is properly reset by following the steps below:

  1. On the side of the device, unplug the power cord > wait 10 seconds > plug the power cord back in > wait until the 4 LEDs light up.
  2. Repeat the first step, 8 more times.
  3. On the side of the device, switch the mic off. The LED lights turn orange.
  4. Press and hold the top of the device (where the LED lights are).
  5. After 5 seconds, the device begins the reset process.
  6. Continue to hold the top of the device for 10 seconds more or until the Google assistant confirms that the factory reset has started.
  7. Wait until the device announces “Welcome to Google Home" > use the Google Home app to set up the device.
  8. After the setup is complete, test the device with any voice command.

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Anders

Seriously? 9 times? Is this an April Fool's joke? Seriously! Tell me, what could unplugging it 9 times accomplish?

Well, I was a skeptic, but I performed the 9 resets, followed the rest of the steps, and was able to get a response from the Mini. Consequently, I was able to reset it, add it to the Devices list and set it up. At this time, it's working properly.

Thanks for being patient with my skepticism.
