Need to delete former account

Can't delete device off Google home app because don't remember the email account that was used.  Please help me

If you're not able to login to the app with the account that was used to setup the device, you'll need to factory reset it using its physical factory reset button.

We’re going to need some more information from you to be able to help you.

• What model do you have? You selected Google Home Max, is that correct?
• When you factory reset it, by pressing and holding the button near the power cord for about 12 seconds, did you hear it confirm it is factory resetting?
