Nest Audio Sounds Becomes Muffled.

Coops
Community Member

Hi,

I have recently purchased two new Nest Audio speakers (I already have several), in setting up the first the sound becomes muffled after a time. This seems to occur when the song changes, i.e. in between songs. The sound then sounds like it is coming from underwater and phasing in and out. The issues occurs when I cast from my laptop to a Nest point in a speaker group that contains the speaker, or when cast directly to from my laptop, or when casting from my phone and tablet (both Android).

I have done a factory reset, unpowered from the socket, rebooted the Nest mesh and that point, but the issue soon returns. I can see others have had similar issues but these seem to be unresolved. Please help!

Hey Coops,

We're sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's see what's going on.

A few questions: how many Nest devices are affected? Is it happening when playing music directly on the Nest Audio or only when casting your audio? Are your Nest Audio devices in stereo pair? Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router.

Keep us posted!

Thanks,

Alex
