Nest Hub Max setup

Grubi46

I am trying to set up my nest hub using google home app.  When prompted to choose a Wi-Fi network to use, my home Wi-Fi network doesn’t come up as an option.  When I manually enter the Wi-Fi name password and wep2,  it is not recognized.  I rebooted the router and tried again with no success.  Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hey there,

Thanks for chiming in, MikeClark2000.

Grubi46, checking back in if you still need our help with your Google Nest Hub Max? If so, are you using a private home network? Give these steps a try:

  • Reboot your router and Nest Hub Max to refresh your connection.
  • Make sure your Google Home app is updated and Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  • Toggle the Wi-Fi Off/On settings on your phone.
  • Check router settings. (AP isolation must be disabled and UPnP must be enabled).
  • If you're using an iOS, turn on Local network access for the Google Home app. Here's how: Privacy > Local Network > Google Home app.
  • If the issue persists, give resetting your Nest Hub Max a try.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,
Alex

Set up Nest Hub Max's Nest Cam
Open the Google Home app .
Touch and hold the Nest Hub Max for which you'd like to set up the Nest Cam.
At the bottom, tap Set up Nest Cam.
Follow the on-screen directions and when prompted, use your mobile device's camera to scan the QR Code displayed on your Nest Hub Max.

Regards,
Mike
