Nest Hub Ruined my Morning Routine

Hello. I am writing about an issue that I'm under the impression has been a problem for a while now. Through my searches I haven't found an actual solution.

 

I recently purchased a Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen. I continued using the morning routine I have always used. The difference now is that my gentle wake-up alarm is set to trigger the routine when turned off rather than me having to use the trigger phrase. The issue is that the routine isn't completing properly. It will often times do the first task or two before going silent and not completing any other tasks in the routine. (Triggering lights, telling me about my day, etc) When I then try to restart the routine using the trigger phrase, the device tells me that the routine hasn't finished yet and that it will restart it from the beginning. The morning routine then starts but will skip all the announcements I was waiting for and go right to playing the news. This routine has worked for several years with small tweaks over time. Isn't the point of these devices and routines to make my life more convenient?

 

Has anyone found a solution for this? Is a patch planned? Please help!

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your Google Nest Hub 2nd gen routine concern. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. A few questions: when did it begin? Were there any recent changes made? Also, what troubleshooting steps have you taken?

 

Try to refresh your devices and observe if it makes a difference. First, reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Google Nest Hub 2nd gen.
