Nest Hub Timezone

Hi, I have a second gen nest hub.

I need to change the timezone, 

I can change the timezone on my phone but not the hub.

I live in one state but work in another, so the time is right where I am but I needed to show the time where I work.

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

There are many ways to personalize your experience with your Nest Hub, using devices with different time zones is one of them. Let's get them set up.

Since your Nest Hub is paired to the same home structure as the one that's on your home, it will show you the time zone of where your home is located. In order for your Nest Hub to display the time from your work, you'll need to add a work location in your Google Home app. You can do this by:

• Going to the home or work address settings in your Google Account.
• Signing in to your Google Account.
• Editing your preferred address.

Then you'll need to follow this article on how to perform a factory reset on your Nest Hub and set it up once again, by choosing your work location when setting it up.

Thanks Angel, I changed my home address in the Home app.

Unfortunately this is an inelegant solution, a manual override for the user to choose the timezone would be better.

I just want to confirm. Did you add your home and work address to your Google account?

You can add both addresses to the same account so you can manually change whether you are at home or at work. Here are the steps:

1. Go to the home or work address settings in your Google account.
2. Sign in to your Google account.
3. Edit your address.

After doing this, you can change the location through the Google Home app. Here are the steps:

1. Open the Google Home app.
2. At the top right, tap your account.
3. Verify that the Google account shown is the one linked to your Google device.
4. To switch accounts, tap the triangle next to the Google Account, then tap another account or Add another account.
5. Tap Manage your Google account, then Personal Info.
6. Under “Addresses,” tap Home or Work.
7. Enter your address.
8. Tap Save.
9. To remove a home or work address, tap Remove.
