Nest Hub no audio until reboot

I've had my Nest Hub for more than a year. In the past few weeks it often won't output any audio, even with volume set to max, no matter the source. Even the UI sounds (volume up/down boops) don't work. It will start working again if I reboot it but sometimes it takes two or 3 reboots before it starts working properly. Unplugging power has the same effect as the reboot command. It seems like a software problem. I have already tried a factory reset.
