Nest Mini 2 gen. can't fin my phone

Hi,

It used to work great but now when i ask my google nest mini 2 gen to find my phone it answers:

"I can't find any cellphones linked to your google account"

I can see my Samsung S23 Ultra in the devices list on my google account and google play, I can see the google nest mini on my google home app too and when I enter google by web site I can find the cellphone...

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Lior

Hi @aepl

Can you verify if your mobile phone is set as a primary device within your Google account?

In my google account (Security/My devices) I can see many devices. I don't now if it is set as primary device. But I can see that it appears 3 times under two different names: S23 Ultra de Angel (one time) - SM-S918B (2 times).

I can see other phones but they arent unchequed in Play Store.

I can find S23 Ultra de Angel by Internet (Find My device).

How do I set my phone as primary device?

Sorry by my bad english.

Hey aepl,

Sorry for the delays. I appreciate RXShorty's help here! I know how important it is to be able to find your phone with your Google Nest Mini. Can you please confirm if you restarted your phone and Nest Mini after following the last steps provided before attempting to locate your device again?

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi aepl,

Here's some useful steps to try:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap Settings and then Google Assistant and then Voice Match.
  3. The app will show you all devices that support Voice Match. Tap a device to enable or disable Voice Match.
    • If you don’t have any devices with Voice Match enabled, tap Get started and follow the in-app steps.
    • To turn on Voice Match automatically for new devices in the same home, turn on Devices you add later.

After that, say "Hey Google, find my phone" or “ring my phone” and your Google Assistant should ring your phone, even if it's set to Do not disturb mode.

Let me know if this works for you.

Best,

Princess

Hola. Muchas gracias por su ayuda. He seguido todas las indicaciones pero no he solucionado el problema.

Agradezco a todos la ayuda brindada, pero he decidido abandonar el problema. Estoy pensando en sustituir el Google Nest por otra herramienta.

Muchas gracias
