Hey folks - hoping someone can help me. I bought a Nest Mini (2nd Gen) and it says its not activated. The Google Home app points me to the Google Utility app which is not compatible with my Pixel 8 Pro. The Google Home app discovers the Nest Mini, plays a sound and my phone connects to the temp wifi of the Nest Mini. But the setup hangs in the ste where the Nest Mini needs to connect to my home wifi (and yes the home wifi is working fine).
I have read the forums and many people report issues with not being able to use the Google Utility app. Some of them mention hard resetting the device, I tried that and it didnt work either. Any tips on how to move forward (apart from finding an older phone to see if the Google Utility App works on that)?
I cant believe this is the experience Google would want is customers to have who use their smart devices and their phones.
