- Are you using a Google Nest Mini 1st or 2nd gen.? You can check this Google Help Center article to help you identify your device: Google Nest and Home device specifications
- Are you using an Android or iPhone device to control your Google Nest Mini?
- Is your Google Home app updated?
- Is your mobile device updated?
- Can you double-check if you are signed in to the Google Home app with the same Google account as your Google Nest Mini is linked to?
- Is your mobile device linked to the same Google account as your Google Nest Mini? Here is a Google Help Center article for your reference: Check which Google Account is linked to a speaker or display.
In the meantime, you can try the following instructions to set your Google Assistant’s responses in the English language:
- Please go to your mobile device settings.
- Update the language setting of the phone to match Google Assistant’s language.
- Set up the default language on the phone to match with Google Assistant:
- Open the Settings app.
- Select “Language & Region.”
- Tap “Add Language.”
- Select the language you set on your mobile phone.
