Nest Mini playing music when asked to switch off lights

One of my Nest Minis which is located in my Kitchen  keeps playing music when I ask it to turn off the kitchen lights.  I'm not sure if it's just this Mini that is doing it or if they all are, I just happen to normally be in the kitchen when turning off the lights in there so I notice it there mainly. 

My setup has been working fine for a good couple of years and this has only started happening in the two or three weeks but it is becoming very annoying!

I've tried rebooting the device but that hasn't helped and I'm now wondering what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas?

This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: aside from the mentioned Nest Mini, which Nest speakers and smart lights are we working with? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers then your smart lights.
2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Try to control your smart lights using its native app and the Home app manually. In turn, ask it to play music and tell me how it goes.
