Aslo cut out quite often, does yours?

The sound is working again since a few days. I did nothing soo it has to be some kind of update from the nest that fixed it. It still cuts off quite often, but then I go to the main screen and ask Google to stream the nursery again.

The sound on mine randomly started working again the other day. Still have the issue with the stream stopping, then like you say back to home and say show nursery and comes back on

Yes it does also. I have to stream multiple times because the streaming atlas now and then.  But that was no problem for me. That the sound isn't working is a problem though.

I have the same issues and firmware version as the above.

Alot of latency with the doorbell video and there is regression in the quality (can't see license plates anymore).

Concerned that this firmware version isn't stated as being the latest version in production.

See here (US, GB or CA regions do not list the version in OPs msg) : https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7365257?hl=en-CA&ref_topic=7072959&sjid=171788161067485...

Hi folks,

Thank you for your timely post and the comprehensive information you've provided. I've reviewed the input and understand that you are experiencing some no sound in your Google Nest Hub 2nd generation. I'm here to help you troubleshoot and find a solution together.

To assist you further, please attempt the following questions:

  • Is the issue reproducible?
  • Does the issue occur when you play music?
  • Are the devices physically damaged?
  • Were any network upgrades done, or were any electronic gadgets installed near the speakers?
  • Is your router a dual-band router?
  • Do you receive a response when you ask the Google Assistant to do something else?

Please keep me posted.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.

Hi @Greg88,

Thank you for your timely post and the comprehensive information you've provided. In this case, you can try the following troubleshooting:

  • Check if the Google Assistant responds when you request something.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the speaker or display.
  • Reconnect the power cable back into the speaker or display.
  • Remove the base cover of the display if applicable.
  • Perform a factory data reset.

You can check this article on how you can do the factory data reset: Factory Data Reset (FDR) Google Home.

Please keep me posted and let me know how it goes.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.

Hi, the sound has randoml started working 👍🏻 I did try the factory reset and the sound still works. The only issue I have now is that the stream keeps stopping. Do you know if there is a way to keep the stream going?

Since the beginning that issue appeared. I tell the nest to go to the main screen and then I ask to stream again. It keeps stopping the stream and I think there no solution. At least the sound is working again.

What do you do overnight? If you wake up and the screen has gone off?

My bedroom is next to the room where the baby sleeps. So during the night it is for us not a problem. I also have the app installed on my cellphone so there are warning sounds if the baby cries...
