Nest hub | Low light activation

Jesperb
Community Member

Hi,

The nest hub 2 has a feature called: Low light activation.
I very much wish to disable this feature, as I sometimes have a dark room and want to be able to view video's and other content.

Please provide a way to disable: Low light activation or deactivate Low light activation once night mode is activated/planned.

Thanks,
Jesper

Hi Jesperb,

Thanks for posting.

Whenever the room is dark, Low-light mode will be enabled. It will be enabled regardless if Ambient EQ is on or off. When in Low-light mode, the display will either show the time or turn the screen off completely. You can adjust the settings for when to activate Low-light mode, and select what you’d like the screen to show during Low-light mode when you navigate to the Display settings on your Home app.

You can also try to disable the Ambient EQ on your Nest display:

  1. From the bottom of the display, swipe up.
  2. In the bottom left, find the light icon.
  3. Check that there is an A in the light icon.
  4. If not, tap the light icon to turn Ambient EQ off.
  5. Afterwards, set your preferred brightness.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Dan
