Nest mini 2 not responsive

Officegirl
Community Member

My Nest Mini is suddenly not responding at all. It won't connect to wi-fi. Bluetooth can't detect it.

I can't factory reset because the centre speaker button won't respond. Even the volume buttons don't respond when touched. If I mute the speaker, the orange lights don't turn on. I've tried unplugging it multiple times and the four white lights come on, it looks like something is happening and then... Nothing. Help please!

Try these steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from your speaker, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait until all 4 LED lights on top illuminate.
  2. Repeat step 1 ten more times.
  3. After plugging your speaker back in the final time, you'll need to wait a few moments for the device to reset. It will announce "Welcome to Google Home. To get started, download the Google Home app on a phone or tablet" to let you know that it’s ready for setup.

Thank you! This worked! It got the mini to be responsive again, and after a few smaller reboots I was able to get it to successfully pair with the app and wifi. I appreciate the help!

Hey fadmpicard,

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should, let's check this out.

To make sure, have you tried resetting your Google Nest Mini using the steps above? If so, can you send a feedback report and use the keyword GHT3 Nest Mini no LED. Make sure that the Send device usage data and crash reports to Google settings is turned on for the device that experiences the issue.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Alex
