New albums are not showing in hub

I have a number of albums I created some time ago, these all show when selecting what albums I want to show.

But any new albums I created lately will not show as a selection to display.

I don't want to select people as many photos are of landscapes, cars or other objects.

Hi @SDM013

I hope you are well, There are a couple of reasons why your new albums might not be showing up in the selection list for Google Photos. Here's how to troubleshoot:

1. Refresh the App (Mobile) or Web App:

  • Mobile: Sometimes a simple refresh can do the trick. Close the Google Photos app completely and then reopen it.
  • Web App: On your computer, try closing the browser window and reopening Google Photos.

2. Check the "Albums" Tab (Mobile):

By default, Google Photos might be showing your library view instead of albums. Here's how to switch to albums:

  • Mobile: On the bottom menu of the Google Photos app, tap "Library" (stacked photos icon). Then, at the top, tap "Albums".

3. Ensure Uploading is Complete:

If your new albums contain recently added photos, it's possible they haven't finished uploading completely. Google Photos might not show them until the upload is finalized.

4. Check for Account Syncing Issues:

In rare cases, there might be a temporary syncing issue with your Google account. Try signing out of your Google account and signing back in to the Google Photos app or web app.

5. Update the Google Photos App (Mobile):

An outdated app version might have bugs preventing new albums from showing. Check for updates in your device's app store and install any available updates for Google Photos.

If for some reason you have another question don't hesitate to let us know.

Regards,

Mario.
