Nooie connectivity issue

I've connected a nooie camera to my Google home and it shows up as normal. However, when I ask nest/chromecast to stream the camera, it says "camera offline" or says it will play but nothing happens.

 

I have tried resetting nooie cam, reconnecting etc and removing/re-adding to Google home. They are both on same WiFi network.

 

Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve?

I appreaciate all the details you've shared. Could you please try these commands to see if it will work?

 

Say "OK Google",

  • "Show [camera name]"
  • "What’s on [camera name]?"
  • "[Camera name] on [Nest display name]"
  • "Play [camera name] on [Nest display name]"
  • "Show [camera name] on [Nest display name]"

Let me know if these commands work.

Thanks for getting back to me.

 

I've tried all of these to no avail. It says it is connecting but then I just end up with a black screen and no video feed.

What else can I try?

Thanks for the update. Can you please try to perform a complete reset to your Google Nest display and see if that would make any changes.

Hi Alice2,

 

Thanks for trying the steps. Let's go ahead and perform a complete reset to your Google Home and set it up again. As soon as it is completely set up, try these steps:

 

  1. Open the Google Home App and tap the plus sign Add in the main page.
  2. Select Set Up Device > Works with Google.
  3. Search for Nooie in the list, tap to open, confirm the country of Nooie account then enter your Nooie account user name and password.
  4. Tap Link Now to complete.
  5. Once the camera is displayed in the Google Home app, you can use the command to show or hide the camera.
  6. To show the camera say, "Hey Google, show (camera name)".
  7. To hide the camera say, "Hey Google, stop".

Hi Princess,

Still no success. Also same problem on my TV with chromecast. I've contacted the nooie company but no help there.

Thanks for trying the steps. Here's the list of all Nooie devices that works with Google Assistant.

 

  • Nooie Cam 360
  • Nooie Cam Indoor
  • Nooie Cam Outdoor
  • Nooie Smart Plug
  • Nooie Smart Power Strip
  • Aurora Smart Light Bulb

Is your camera listed there? if yes, try to stream the camera by commanding the Google Assistant from your phone and let's see if that will work.

I'm still having no luck. I've followed all your advice but it still isn't working on the hub or chromecast.

Hi Alice2,

 

Have you tried to command your Google Assistant from your phone to see if it works? Let's try to command the Google Assistant by saying "OK Google, stream <name of camera> on <name of Google Nest Hub>".

Yes, I have tried this too. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. I get a reply "streaming [camera] on [device]" but then nothing shows on the screen
