Hey all! I am an electronics repair technician, and a Google fan. My first gen google mini I got in 2017 started glitching and then spread to my smarthome network. I removed this mini and all problems went away on my smarthome network. So checked the power supply cable that came with it on my O-scope and the power is "dirty" or "noisy" causing the mini to glitch and put errors on the smarthome network. Mind you this is a 7 year old unit so not surprised the power supply is now bad. 7 years is along time plugged in 24/7. So most people ( even Google software engineers) are not electronic design or repair technicians and do not understand that today's cool tech we have needs good stable clean power, or they start to glitch. Anyhow time to replace my 7 year old mini for the better Gen 2. Just a thought before getting upset at google software engineers. Electronics do wear or burn out eventually. 😊
