Play Google TV video audio through a nest speaker pair.

It seems odd to me that Google TV is being sold bundled with Google nest speakers but I've found no way to successfully play audio from video sources on my Google TV to my Google Nest Speaker Pair. Is this possible? Am I doing something wrong? Within the Google Home app I can add the speaker pair to the Google TV but is doesn't seem to play the audio as expected.

Do the speakers not have the ability to function as home theater speakers with Google TV?

You can do it via Bluetooth connection but there is a delay and the connection and performance are unreliable.

 Is very frustrating. It was a while ago now that google announced this was a feature that would be added. The announcement of this feature was the reason I bought mine.

 Great speakers for music and google assistant. Rubbish for home theatre.

 Massive disappointment.

Why is Google selling these products as a bundle if they don't even work together?

No idea. I was hoping when they starting selling as a Bundle it meant they finally sorted out this feature. But no such luck it seems.

on the plus side they are a pretty awesome sounding speaker for the price.

maybe the next generation will have a physical audio Jack connection. That’s all it needed and we wouldn’t have this problem.
