'Play [genre_name] music on home group' does not switch to home group in particular routine

Hi,

Have Nest Audio and two of Nest Mini. 2nd Gen.

All in Home Group.

Morning routine starts well with setting speakers volume (all speakers react to volume change), ends with custom command 'Play some morning rock music on home group'. And it works perfect, music start to play on all speakers.

'I'm home' routine starts well with setting speakers volume (all speakers react to volume change), ends with custom command 'Play some lounge music on home group'. And it fails, played only on Nest Audio.

But after I pronounce actual command 'Switch to home group', it wwichest without issues

I tried to make workarounds in routine:

  • Added command 'Switch to home group'. Google says 'Looks like there isn't anything playing right now'.
  • Moved 'Play some...' command to the start of routine, so it could start playing before comes 'Switch...' command. No. It says either 'Can't do it right now', or still 'Looks like there isn't anything playing right now'. Only sometimes it starts this fail message, breaks the message down and then really dtarts to play on all speakers.

Anything I can do about that?

The routines mostlly identical. Separate speakers are fully responsive.

Hi LexPlex,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh.

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you're still having trouble, please recreate your routines and reboot your Nest Mini.

If the issue persists, feel free to submit another post and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Jennifer
