Problems playing Absolute Radio on Google Speaker

bigfatste

Yesterday my Google Speaker decided that when i say "Ok Google, play Absolute Radio" it would say that it doesn't understand.  This is despite me playing this station every day for the past few years.

Ironically it will let me play Absolute 80's or 90's but not the main station.  Any ideas?

Hi bigfatste,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are having difficulties tuning on Absolute Radio. No worries; I'm here to help! Here are some steps we can take that might help solve this situation:

  • Ask for the station in a different way. For example, if the name didn't work, try the call sign or frequency.
  • Add more specific information, such as "on [radio service]," to your request.
  • When you use the frequency, add the name of a nearby city.

I hope this helps! If you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further.

Best regards,

Nery.

Hi, the problem seems to have resolved itself. I think the issue is to do with the radio station moving from TuneIn to Rayo, for some reason when I asked for the station today, it played it via TuneIn whereas last week it was trying to.use Rayo. Anyway, it is working fine now, thank you for your help.
