Hi ondafly

This is not the experience we wanted you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue return? Were there any recent changes made? Could you confirm if other radio stations and music services are working or not? It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes tops.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan

Hi Dan,

We have 4 google nest speakers/displays - all of them have the same issue. I've rebooted them to no avail, also same with broadband connection.

No recent changes to my network at home either.  The issue seems to only occur with RTE provided stations, other brand stations work 100% - so would suggest some sort of issue with RTE and Tunein app on Google/Nest.

thanks

Hey there,

We appreciate your patience! For now, the most beneficial action for the team is if you could send in feedback regarding this issue. We have found similar reports and our team is currently investigating it. You can send feedback through voice by saying “Hey, Google! Send feedback” with the keywords “GHT3 Unable to play RTE1 radio from TuneIn”. You can also send a brief description of your concern including the keywords, follow the steps below:

Step 1. Turn on device reports

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right of the screen, tap Settings > Recognition & sharing.
  5. Turn on Send [device model] device usage and crash reports to Google. (Example: Send Google Home device usage and crash reports to Google.)

Step 2. Share your feedback

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Tap Feedback > tap the device you'd like to submit feedback for.
  4. To display available emails, in the "From:" section, tap the arrow on the right. Select your email address.
  5. In the feedback summary, write a brief description of your issue.
  6. Be sure to check the box for Screenshot and System logs.
  7. To submit feedback, at the top right corner, tap Send.

We'll keep you all updated, thanks again!

Kind regards,

Dan

Back working this morning, thank you. Do we have an indication what caused the outage ?

Hi ondafly,

That's great to hear! Google has been working for days with Tune-in for a resolution. As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this thread as resolved. I'll be locking this thread if we won't hear back from you in 24 hrs. Should that happen, feel free to create a new one if you have more questions or have other concerns in the future.

Cheers,

Dan
