I have tried rebouting my mini and factory resting it, nothing changed. And it wont even listening to my command that i tell sometimes and sometimes it does. Its so random working sometimes and sometimes randomly activetes in the middle of the night. "Something went wrong, try again later" is the thing its saying randomly.

Hi @majstr0

I hear you, that sounds incredibly frustrating! Random activations and inconsistent responses can definitely disrupt your peace and quiet, especially in the middle of the night. It's great that you've already tried rebooting and factory resetting your Nest Mini, but I understand it hasn't solved the problem. Let's see if we can work together to figure this out.

Understanding the Issue:

  • Accidental Activations: Can you tell me a little more about how often these accidental activations happen? Is it a nightly occurrence, or a few times a week?
  • Voice Recognition: When the Assistant does understand your commands, is your voice typically clear? Do you usually speak directly towards the Nest Mini when giving commands?

Troubleshooting Steps:

Microphone Sensitivity:

We can try adjusting the microphone sensitivity to make it less likely to pick up on background noise. Here's how:

  • Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet.
  • Select your Nest Mini from the list of devices.
  • Go to Settings > Sensitivity.
  • Try adjusting the microphone sensitivity to "Less sensitive" and see if it reduces accidental activations.

Voice Match:

  • Voice Match allows the Assistant to recognize only specific voices for personalized responses. This might help if background noise or other voices are causing the Assistant to activate unintentionally.
    • In the Google Home app, go to Settings > Voice Match.
    • Ensure Voice Match is enabled for your account.
    • You can also retrain your voice model for better recognition.

I know this has been a hassle, and I appreciate your patience. Hopefully, by working through these steps together, we can get your Nest Mini working consistently and without those surprise activations in the middle of the night!

Regards,

Mario.
