Repeating Everything

Why does Google Home have to repeat every command given to it? I should think that if you're giving a command for something in the same room that would be obvious if the command was executed or not. If I'm in a dark room and say "Hey, Google, turn on the lights", I am pretty aware if they came on or not. I don't need Home replying "Okay, turning on two lights."

This is especially bad when a command is in a routine that Home can't execute. For instance, if I have my room AC on when I'm sleeping and put a routine in at 4am to turn it off because it will be cool then, I don't want to hear "OKAY, TURNING OFF AIR CONDITIONER" at 4am which will wake me up.

How about at least an option where controlling things in the same room are not verified but things in other rooms are?

Hello TE5LA,

Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to hear about your frustration regarding your Google Assistant repeating information when it does a task. I understand your concern, being woken up in the middle of the night is never great.

At this time, there is not a way to turn off that feature. The Google Assistant repeats the task action as confirmation.

In the meantime, if you'd like, you can share your thoughts and feedback to our team. Here are the steps to sending in your feedback. Rest assured, our team reads every comment sent in.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, thank you.
