Hi
We took in google home like a month ago to help us with routines. And untill this weekend it worked very well too. But suddenly some of the timed routines won't play on the suggested device anymore.
We have a hub in the livingroom and a speaker in the bedroom. We have a household routine set up for waking up by playing the radio. But all of a sudden the routine doens't play on the bedroom speaker anymore, and after checking and triggering it seems none of the timed routines (household or private) for the bedroom speaker work. In stead they all play on the livingroom hub.
In routines the setting of 'start routines' in the bottom is set on the hub, and the routine itself doesn't seem to overwrite it when I choose the bedroomspeaker instead. If I set the 'start routine' setting to bedroomspeaker, everything gets cast to there, including the dayroutines for the hub. So I can't determine any specific speaker per routine anymore. Please help and solve this asap.
I also tried resetting both devices, didn't work.

Hi Artanis,
Apologies for the inconvenience. That's not exactly the experience we want you to have so let's check it out.
A few questions: for your hub, is it a Nest Hub Max, Nest Hub or Nest Hub 2nd Gen? And for your speaker, is it a Nest Mini, Nest Audio, Google Home or Google Home Mini? Are both your Nest speakers on the same Wi-Fi network, under the same home structure on your Google Home app?
It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:
If you could, kindly change the names of each Nest device to see the difference. Here's how:
Keep us posted.
Best,
Dan

Hi Dan
There were some additional inconviences with the speaker, like suddenly not wanting to play the radio alarm at all anymore, so I decided to simply factory reset the thing. Now everything sheduled works back as before. I did notice some new icons in the dayplanner, to adjust where certain timed notifications should play. don't think that was there before, maybe that's why things started to scramble? But as I said that all working fine now.
Another problem we encountered though is that my bf can't ask for TuneInn to play freely. Whenever he askes the speaker 'hey google, play chill' it sais that this is preserved for premium members. Ironicly when he asks the same on the hub (2nd gen not max) it plays chill on tuneinn just fine. When I ask the speaker to play chill, it also plays. It's as if the speaker has some quarrel with my bf or something, he just doesn't want to play on his demand. Any ideas what might be the case there?

Hey Artanis,
Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. To confirm, did you activate the voicematch on your device? Is your boyfriends account linked on your Nest Hub Max? What is the current firmware version of your Hub Max?
Cheers,
Muddi
