Samsung Note 9 "Just tap, no need to ask your speaker" not working anymore

After sending frequent commands to our Google devices several times, like "Hey Google wake me up at 0630" the command shows up on my Samsung Note 9 with a message to "Just tap, no need to ask your speaker."  That worked great for months and then one day it stopped working,  The message still appears on my phone, but if I tap the message the speaker doesn't respond.  I have reset my network, reset the devices, and rebooted my phone several time.  I liked this feature, how can I get it working again?

Thanks for reaching out, let check this out.

Could you try reinstalling the Google Assistant on your phone? Checking for system updates might help too. Also, what Google device are you referring to?
