Sengled smart bulb scenes not working with google home

Hi, we recently got some Sengled smart bulbs and we have connected the app to google home. Everything works fine except the “scenes”. We’d love to get our custom scenes we made in the app to work over “hey google”. In the routine tab, “scenes” is grayed out. Any advice?

hi, I have not been able to use my scenes in google home. Is it possible to have a google home command run a scene from the Sengled app?

Hey Databear,

 

I am sorry to hear you are still having issues with the scenes not working as intended. Having any device not work as intended can be annoying. Let's jump in and ensure you are good to go. Just to double-check, you have added all the lights to the Home app, and they are showing inside the app? I did find a helpful article that provides a lot of details/ troubleshooting steps that could be of use. Please let me know if that helps out, as I want to ensure you are good to go.

Thanks Jake- yes I have all the bulbs set up in the google home app. They function perfectly fine. My question, to put it more clearly, is can I activate the “scenes” I have set up in the Sengled app through google home? T

Hey Databear,

 

Apologies for the confusion on my part there. I did do a little digging and I did find this link here. The link says:

 

"Please note that Google Home will not automatically assign the bulbs to their corresponding scenes assigned by the Sengled Element app. You may, however, assign them to rooms through the Google Home app to keep the same groupings." 

 

Please let me know if that helped answer your question, or if you have any other questions from here as well. I would be happy to look further into that for you.
