Hi all,
I've recently purchased a Nest Hub Max and have a rather annoying issue as we use this feature a lot on our kitchen speaker (replaced nest audio with the hub).
When I use the command "hey google. Set a timer for one hour", the phrase will come up on the top of the screen fine so it is recognising the phrase, but it will then just default to the web browser to try and find answers rather than set the timer. Even when I press the options that display at the bottom to set a timer, it will again just try and provide answers from the web. Screenshot below...
All our other google smart speakers around the home work fine with this feature; it is just the hub max. I have tried numerous times, using different amounts of time i.e. 5 mins, 30 mins etc and switched it off and on again.
Is this a bug, or any other suggestions regarding how I fix this?
Thanks

Specifically, the assistant replies "I don't know, but I found these results on search" when I ask it to set a timer.

Hi benson1980,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your concern. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. Try the factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.
Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays
