Hi. Anyone have suggestions, when setting up my hub it will not see the LG TV's Chromecast - doesn't find it as a device? Or anyone have same problem? Thanks.

Hi ChrisJH,

Thanks for posting.

If you are trying to connect your LG TV to your Google Nest Hub, make sure that they are both connected on the same WiFi network and set it up in the same home structure.

You can go ahead and follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. At the top left, tap Add   Set up device plus  New device .
  4. Tap the home you want to add the device to  Next.
  5. Tap the device you want to set up  Next.
  6. Make sure that the code shown on the TV matches the code shown on your mobile device.
  7. To send anonymous data that helps us improve devices, tap Yes, I'm in. To opt out, tap No thanks.
  8. Tap the room where you're setting up your device  Next.
  9. Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect your device to  Next.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. To choose whether to receive emails about your device, tap Sign up or No thanks.
  12. Choose which video services you want to add  Next.
  13. Tap Continue  Continue.

Note: If you get an "Error when linking device" error message, you must factory reset your Chromecast device.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess
