Shopping lists single item adding

Why when I ask for items to be added to shopping list (Google keep) does most items with an s at the end usually as as 2 items?. Ie aladd rise pops &. 2 items are added , rice & pops?. But if I add rice pop it's 1 item. This has been happening for years. ANY item should be 1 item No matter what we ask for unless we say the word And.  It'sWill this get fixed?

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that when asking Google Assistant to add items ending in "s" to your Google Keep 'Shopping List,' where items like "rice pops" are sometimes added as two separate items ("rice" and "pops") instead of a single item. I'm happy to help you! 

Google Assistant uses natural language processing to understand your requests, and sometimes the system may interpret plural forms or compound words differently, leading to items being split on your list.
