Hi all, I have 2 smart plugs that are linked through Smart life app. One plug controls the Fan but has started to turn the fan on every day at 16.00 and turn it off at 22.00. I have factory reset both Google hub and the smart plug but makes no difference. I have also checked for rogue schedules in Google Home app and Smartife but found nothing. Any suggestions would be great. TIA

Hi Abedrax,
Thanks for reaching out. Let's get this sorted out.
Quick question — were there any recent changes to the network? Have you tried to check the settings on the Smart Life app under "Timer" to see if there is still a schedule set? If there is, try removing the schedule and then reset the plug.
Keep me posted.
Regards,
Nikki

Hi Nikki,
There are no timers or schedules set in either Smart Life App or Google home App, I have emptied the cache in both Apps and also reset the plug and Google Hub to factory settings. Google hub says there are no scheduled tasks or timers when asked.
kind regards Clive

Hey Abedrax,
Chiming in - please make sure that you don't have existing routine that may trigger this action. If there's a multiple accounts linked on the Google Home app, you might want to check with them also if they have routines that set timer to the smart devices.
Keep us posted.

Hi Muddi, I am not aware of extra accounts linked to Google Home App and I cannot find where to look in Google home to find out, the only app that should be linked is Smart Life but there is no info available in Smart Life either.
Thank Clive

Hey Abedrax,
Got it. Please try these steps below on how to check linked accounts on the Google Home app:
Also, please check your routines. Just tap "Routines" on the Google Home app, then check if there are any actions set that turns off the lights.

Muddi

Hi Muddi
I have deleted one of the accounts attached to Google Home and checked the other for any routines or timers that may have been set but found none. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem as the smart plug came on at 16.00 as usual. 🤔
