I am very frustrated with getting a “Sorry something went wrong, try again later.” Message at least 30% of the time lately on multiple Google Home speaker devices. It could be me asking a question or asking to play a song from YouTube Music. I used to brag to family about how great these devices are and now they are becoming too frustrating to use. I have tried resets, restarting, and logging in and out of the Home iOS app but with no success. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Hey usneddie,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue here, and my apologies for the late response.
I know how challenging it is when you're having issues with your Google Home/Nest devices. A few questions: when did the issue start? What specific Google Home/Nest device do you have? How far are your devices from your router? Are you using a network repeater or extender?
To eliminate network issues, please try setting up one of your devices on a different network like mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home/Nest device).
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

You wont get any help here. I've had this issue for 4 years on my Chromecast. "Something went wrong." Try Again. That's it, Google? Device finds my wifi- and then says we could not communicate with it from ipad or phone. I tried both. Help pages for this DO NOT EXIST. The arrogance of Google not having a page for something that happens EVERY time I tried to use it...

Hey nonnestuser,
Sorry to hear about your experience with your Chromecast device. To confirm, do you also have a Google Home/Nest device? Are you able to eliminate network issues?
Also, we appreciate your feedback we kindly remind you to please be respectful, and stay polite and assume good intent as per our community guidelines.

When using my Google home app where I have a light connected it won't work as of today i keep getting "something went wrong" has been working fine until now.

The same thing happened to mine today. Was working fine last night. I can control the lights thru geeni on my phone and geeni is linked to google nest but google won’t do anything. Help please.

Hey folks,
Sorry for the delays. For users having issues controlling their Geeni lights - this may have been related to the Geeni outage that happened earlier which should now be resolved. If you still have the same issue please reboot your devices to refresh the connection between your lights and speakers. If it's still the same, I suggest making a new thread because this one focused on speakers that responds with “Sorry something went wrong” to all commands.
Cheers,
Muddi

Same here. I can't control any of my lights in my home using Google home. My geenie app controls it just fine, but using my voice to control the lights is no longer an option.

Same here, its been like this for 5 days now. I have 2 devices and they are both doing it. I have rebooted both, and done a factory reset on one of them. My wifi works fine for everything else, including chromecast, phones, etc. Please fix.
