This is labeled under nest audio, but the arrangement I have is actually comprised of a Google home, 2 Google Displays, 1 Nest Display, 2 Google mini, and a Nest Mesh network with speaker built into extender, with a few chrome cast scattered into the mix. The main issue I'm encountering is the nest network speaker is paired with a Bluetooth device that allows older av equipment to connect. That Bluetooth streams with a fairly long delay in comparison to the rest of the devices, so long infact there is not enough adjustment in the app to synchronize them. It gets close but it's still 50 to 100ms off which leads to an awful echo between the two areas out of sync. I've tried resetting the Bluetooth which did nothing to reduce it's delay, so all I'm left with is slowing down all the other devices, but I'm capped at 200ms which just is not enough. Why is the cap set to such a low value? Am I just SOL on this or is there something I can do to fix this?
Thanks

Hi there,
This is just how the Bluetooth protocol works.
The delay on any Bluetooth transmission happens because audio information has to be encoded for transfer and then decoded once it's received.
As this is a community forum supported by other users and community specialist's we don't know why Google has a cap on the amount of delay adjustment that you can use, sorry.

Hi again,
This has been a frustration of mine also.
It has been rumoured that Google is working on casting audio to speakers and displays from a Chromecast (probably Chromecast with Google TV) device in the near future...

Hopefully they make more improvement's to the 'cast protocol' as I feel this will work better than Bluetooth.

Understood thanks for taking the time to drop me the link. IDK why Google makes it so difficult to reach them through appropriate channels when things go south with their products.
Being the owner of quite a lot of nest and google branded products I'm increasingly finding my self frustrated at their disconnect from the customers that bought the products they provide. But they do make nice stuff, so guess that counts for something.
Anyway, suppose I'm off to make a feature request for something that is, as usual in Google's case, painfully obvious, but they've seemingly somehow remained completely oblivious to, and have little to no hope of it ever being acknowledged much less implemented. But at least I'll have had tried.
Guess this can be closed by a mod next time they pass by. Thanks again
