Speakers become Sterio play at same time

I went mad & purchased Google home nest 2x of the speakers and a couple of minis. Ok so I had this idea of having music in all the rooms going at once. So why can’t this happen? If I have Google home nest on I can’t turn on the speaker one as it turns off the nest. I read & read but at Google home app I could not find a solution to do that connecting up to have them all going. Can this be done? The sales man said it could. I checked iOS as I wouldn’t have been able to ask my question for help. Thanks
