Hi LillErik13,

Thanks for reaching out.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues on linking your Spotify to your Google Nest Mini.

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. At the top right, tap your account.
  4. Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
  5. Go back to the home screen, and at the top left, tap Add Music.
  6. To choose your default service, tap the music service you'd like to use. Assistant will use this service when you say “Hey Google, play music.”
  7. To link functionality:
    1. For YouTube, your accounts are automatically linked when you link your Google Account to your speaker or display.
    2. For Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and others, you'll need to link your accounts.
      • To connect your account, tap a music service Link account sign in or sign up for the service and follow the in-app steps.
      • To unlink an account, tap Unlink Unlink account.

Note: For all services, speakers and displays currently support a single account per streaming service.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Princess

Hi LillErik13,

Could you please try to set your phone's language to English US to see if Spotify would be available as an option?

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess

I tried setting it to English but nothing happened

Update: after struggling with this for weeks, I finally linked Spotify. I've been trying using my iPhone SE (iOS 15.6) and it was not working – right after I would press 'link' in the Google Home app, the Spotify app would briefly flash across my screen, I'd see a check mark, and then I'd be taken back Google Home where Spotify was still not linked.

I downloaded Google Home on my iPad Air (4th Gen, iOS 15.6) and tried linking Spotify and it worked!

Got it working on my end.

things I tried (that didn’t work):

- revoking Spotify Google permission, and then relinking

- uninstalling Spotify and Google home, reinstalling and then relinking

- rebooting phone

- making sure Home and Spotify and iOS fully updated

- trying on WiFi and on cellular

what worked for me just now:

- deleted Spotify from my iphone (but kept Google Home app installed)

- revokes Google permission from Spotify (https://www.spotify.com/us/account/apps/?_ga=2.50686368.824755893.1660862489-679090592.1643390638)

- then relinked Google Home w Spotify. Instead of kicking the auth into the Spotify app, it did it over the web and was able to link successfully

- I reinstalled Spotify app, and everything works as it should
