Spotify on mesh speakers - multiple accounts

cbb1

I have a google home mesh point in our bedroom, and I have a spotify premium account. It's linked to the mesh speaker, and so whenever one of us asks it to play music, it will use that account to play the music. However, occasionally I will be using the account on my phone, and someone else will start using it on the home mini, and then it will stop mine, and start playing on the speaker. I'm wondering if there is anyway to link multiple spotify accounts to the same speaker. I cant log the home app anywhere but my phone and these seems to be the only way to control the music on home as there is no app for my mac.

Hi cbb1,

Thanks for reaching out.

If you have a Spotify family account, you can link it to your Google speakers. Make sure that you will also set up multiple accounts to your Google Home Mini.

Here's how to link a family account to your Google Home Mini:

You can use Google Voice Match to add more Google accounts to your device which you can then link to more Spotify accounts.

Or, to switch accounts, unlink the current Spotify account:

  1. In the Google Home app, tap Account in the top-right.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Music under services.
  4. Tap UNLINK.
  5. Link a new Spotify account.

Let me know how it goes.

Princess
