Spotify skipping songs?

When I play music through my Google Home from Spotify, it will skip certain (most) of my downloaded songs. All of these songs play perfectly fine when I am using my phone or car as a speaker. It is the same songs every time. I also cannot connect to the Google Home from Spotify if I am playing said songs.

Thank you for your message. I use my Spotify everyday so I definitely understand your concern! I would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some questions.

  • Which Google Home device are you using? (model name, generation number)
  • How does it skip your songs? Does it display the song and suddenly jump to the next one?
  • Are you using Spotify through voice command? 
  • Does this issue occur when you are casting it through your phone as well?
  • Are you seeing any error messages? 
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If so, what have you attempted so far?
