I have a Nest Hub (2nd Gen) that I use as an alarm clock. I have tried to use the sunrise alarm feature to slowly brighten my smart lights in my bedroom, but it has never worked. The sunrise alarm has also stopped even brightening the Nest Hub display.

Hey smithab96,
Thanks for sharing details about the issue here. I know how it feels when something is not working on your Google Nest Hub (2nd gen). Let's try to get to the bottom of this.
To troubleshoot the issue with the Nest Hub's sunrise alarm feature, you can follow these steps:
1. Check for software updates: Ensure that your Nest Hub is running on the latest software version. Go to the settings menu and look for the "Software Updates" option. If an update is available, install it and see if it resolves the issue.
2. Verify sunrise alarm settings: Double-check your sunrise alarm settings in the Google Home app. Make sure the correct lights in your bedroom are selected for the sunrise alarm feature. Adjust the brightness and duration settings as desired.
3. Restart your Nest Hub: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve minor issues. Unplug your Nest Hub from the power source, wait for a few seconds, and then plug it back in. Check if the sunrise alarm starts working after the restart.
4. Reset the Nest Hub: If the issue persists, you can try performing a factory reset on your Nest Hub. Keep in mind that this will erase all your personalized settings and data. To reset, go to the settings menu, select "Device Options," and then choose "Remove Device." Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset process. Set up your Nest Hub again and test the sunrise alarm feature.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hello, unfortunately none of these suggestions fixed my problem. I also tried to create an automation that turned the lights on at a low brightness a minute or two before the sunrise alarm starts because I have seen some people say that that works for them, but that still did not work for me. It seems that this is a very frequent issue with the Google Home ecosystem from the number of posts I have seen. I would like to see this feature working.
