Syncing contacts, making phone (not video) calls, photos

Sarto

New to Nest Hub Max. Step seemed fine but I ran into some issues:

1) With multiple users (managers), how to make one the primary?

2) Syncing contacts and making calls, when I call the other manager it makes a video call to the device itself which isn't helpful v. making a call to the contact's cell phone. Help!

3) All phones being used are iPhones. It's great that one can link third-party accounts, like iTunes, but I am not sure how to set up photos. I usually use iCloud but it appears that Google Photos is required for photos. How to best set up a link between the two services?

Thank you!

Hello Sarto,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

To let other people, like family members or roommates, use the devices in your home, add them as home members.

Only invite people you trust to become home members. When someone becomes a member of a home, the following info and settings are shared with them:

Full access and control of devices and services

  • Add and remove other home members, including you
  • Add new devices, like speakers, displays, or smart light bulbs
  • Use and change the settings of the devices in the home
  • Automatically link their media services, like YouTube, to speakers, smart displays, and Chromecast built-in devices in the home

Also, to answer your question on making calls, Duo calling is one of your options.

With Duo calling, speakers and displays can make and receive video or voice calls to or from anyone who has a Duo account.

Key features:

  • Make and receive calls with other Duo users worldwide.
  • Video and voice calling.
  • Make calls between your speakers, displays and mobile devices.
  • All calls are free.
  • Emergency calls cannot be made with Duo.
  • With Google Nest Hub Max, you can also send and receive video messages.

Lastly, right at this moment, Google Photos are the only supported source of photos to be displayed in your Google Nest Hub Max's photo frame. You may check these info on this link:

Let us know if you have additional questions and I'd be happy to answer it for you.

Best,

Princess
