TV turn on routine - specifying what programming source to start in...

I've a Routine I call "TV Time". It turns on some Hue lights that I have connected to Google Home with the Philips Hue app, and then turns on my living room TV, an LG, connected with the LG ThinQ app. My two main programming sources are my Comcast Xfinity cable box, and my Roku device. Beginning relatively recently and for an unknown reason, when I run the routine to turn things on, the TV always starts on my Roku home screen. Sometimes I want it to open to the last channel I was watching on Xfinity, but even when I run the "End TV Time" routine to shut everything down while on an Xfinity channel, the next time it comes on it's back to Roku. It used to power up to the last source I'd been watching, and I don't know what may have made this behavior change. Is there a way within my TV Time routine to force the desired programming source? Or am I looking at this wrong...?

Hey again -- my first thought is there might have been an update that also included the CEC controls on either the Roku or the inFinity box or even the TV. So, I'm guessing, now when you turn things on the Roku is stealing the focus from the Xfinity box. This isn't really an assistant issue or Nest issue but more how the three devices implement CEC on those device(s) they are connected to and one seems to be taking priority.

Try rebooting the Xfinity and Roku. What's the order of the devices in the routine? How about the order of the connections to the TV, one HDMI port is usually always the primary one. For example, mine is HDMI 2 which is ARC. Maybe they are launched in the order they are in the routine. I haven't seen any changes with my devices, and Google doesn't really let us know what might be going on under the hood. Did the TV get an update? If it's a smart TV it probably receives firmware updates that control CEC too. Did it turn the switch off in the TV settings? These are the things I'd check.

I'm curious about something, our retail store is trying to setup some tv's that we want on a schedule. So we want them to turn on and then turn off at certain times. They are TCL TV's that is running a special program for aisle markers and was wanting to them to come on without us having to go one by one.

How did set up the google routine specifically?

Thanks!
