Talking to Doorbell through Home Hub

Just hooked up Google Home Hub and the wireless Nest Doorbell. When the doorbell is pressed the screen alerts and shows video but after pressing the microphone button communicate to the doorbell the audio doesn’t go through. The person standing outside can’t hear the person inside. However communication works just fine in the google app on our phones. Press the mike button and can talk both ways. Am I missing something on the Hub?. And the microphone switch is on. Thanks
