TuneIn Radio stream not startting

Hi!

I have trouble with listening to Stream radio over Tunenin: most of the times it says that radio station is streamed over Tunein and then nothing happens, does not matter if I choose different radio station, same thing, Silence over speakers.

Have two JBL LINK 20 speakers in Stereo mode and it connects fine to the network and takes my orders, but no radio stream over Tunein most of the times. Some times it does work, without any changes made from my side....

Regards,

Kaluluka

Hi @Kaluluka,

I understand how frustrating it must be to try and listen to internet radio stations through TuneIn on your JBL Link 20 speakers, only to encounter silence most of the time. It's concerning that it happens regardless of the station you choose.

Here are some steps that might help resolve the issue:

1. Check Network Connectivity:

  • Make sure your JBL Link 20 speakers have a strong and stable Wi-Fi connection.
  • If possible, try restarting your Wi-Fi router to refresh the network connection.

2. Update Software:

  • Ensure your JBL Link 20 speakers are running the latest firmware. Updates often include bug fixes that might address streaming issues. Check for updates through the Google Home app or any specific JBL app that those may have.

3. Re-link TuneIn Account:

  • Sometimes, relinking your TuneIn account to the Google Assistant can resolve connection issues. Unlink the account in the Google Home app and then relink it following the on-screen instructions.

4. Restart Devices:

  • A simple restart of your JBL Link 20 speakers and smartphone/device you're using with Google Assistant can sometimes clear temporary glitches.

5. Try Voice Commands vs. App:

  • If you're using voice commands to play radio stations, try opening the Google Home app and playing the station directly. This might help isolate if the issue lies with voice commands or the TuneIn integration.

Additional Information:

  • Here is a helpful article that can help you with the process.
  • Have you noticed any specific error messages when you try to play radio stations?
  • Are there any particular stations that seem to be more problematic than others?

By gathering this extra information, we can narrow down the potential causes and explore more specific solutions.

Best regards,

Josh
