Tunein Radio stops working after about 20 minutes

For the past two years Tunein Radio has worked well on my google home speakers.  For the past two weeks it plays for about 20 minutes, breaks up a couple of times and then goes silent.  Giving the play command again brings the station back, but only for about another 20 minutes.  I've reset the modem and the speaker and have tried on two stations with the same result.

To better assist you, please provide the following information:

 

  • What model of speakers do you have?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Are your mobile device or tablet connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your speaker or display?
  • Have you tried to cast audio using the Google Nest Speaker? 

 

Since you already restarted the router and speaker, please try performing a factory reset. Remember to re-link the radio during the setup process.

 

If you haven’t tried to cast audio using the Google Nest speaker, follow these steps:

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap the speaker.
  3. Select the Cast icon. Your phone will cast any content to the speakers. You can also stream radio stations from your phone to the speaker.

Hello Lucia,
 
I have Google home mini speakers.  I have tried casting through the speakers which ahs worked in the past.  The problem started about 4 weeks ago.
 
The good news is that it appears to have resolved itself and for the past three days Tunein appears to be working well.
 
Thanks for you suggestions and your offer of further help.  Hopefully everything will work now.
