Unable to delete device

My Hub Max disappeared from Google Home device list, I did a factory reset and went through the setup and it says the device is in use in another home (but I can’t find it )and delete in that home before installing . I have two homes and old one and one new where I moved everything to several years ago.  How can I fix?

The display showed everything in the home and it control lights and doorbells etc.

Hi robbie57,

Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. Do you have a household member in the previous home your Google Nest Hub Max was linked to? If yes, advise the household member to remove the Google Nest Hub Max from their Google Home app. To remove: open the Google Home app > Devices > Tap Google Nest Hub Max > Settings > Remove device > Remove.

Factory reset your Google Nest Hub Max once more, and then force close and reopen the Google Home app before proceeding with the set-up. Let me know how it goes.

Hi there,

Go to Your devices and check if your Google Nest Hub Max is listed. If yes, tap on it and choose to sign out of your account. Do this to all your Google Home’s household members.

If you’re still getting the same error, factory reset it once more, then keep it unplugged for at least 48 hours. Once you plug it back in, do another factory reset and attempt to set up the device again. Keep us posted.

Best,
Alex
