Telling Google assistant to play music on a speaker group is broken. Tech support and higher up support teams are incompetent.
I had a Google Mini with a Pixel Stand, and it worked for maybe a day. Then it stopped working. I bought two Google Nest Speakers Charcoal, and they would not work with the Pixel Stand nor with just themselves. I bought a Nest Hub 2nd generation for a different reason, and it worked, for about a day and a half before failing. I worked with their support team, and they kept latching onto the Nest Hub 2nd Generation being the problem, EVEN THOUGH IT DIDN'T WORK BEFORE I INTRODUCED THE NEST HUB 2ND GENERATION INTO MY NETWORK! I can put one speaker on a speaker group, I can unplug every other device, and I can tell the speaker to play, and it plays. I tell it to play the speaker group, and it tells me, "I'm sorry, something went wrong." It does not matter what devices I have set as a speaker group, 1, 2, 3, or 4, I can have each one play on their own, but as soon as you add the words "on speaker group ....", I get "I'm sorry, something went wrong." Google's "high up support team" repeatedly thinks it is the Nest Hub. I am starting to leave reviews on every website I can find that sells Google speakers, and telling people not to buy them. Google has failed. I don't know what other brand of speakers are out there, I'll have to take a look. There are countless people on this forum and on Reddit having issues. Google is not listening to anyone.

Hi Amishruss,
We hear you — we can understand why you feel that way. Could you provide us with the case number from our support team so we can look into this for you?
I look forward to your response.
Regards,
Juni
